Our story
We make coloring books that actually get finished.
doodloo started with a simple frustration: why do most kids' coloring books sit half-colored in a drawer? The answer, we decided, is that most aren't designed to be finished. They're picture dumps.
So we built something different. Every doodloo book is a story world — a named pair of characters, a clear adventure, and 96 pages that pace like a film: action, detail, quiet, reveal. The art is hand-drawn by a tiny team who obsess over line quality and how a crayon feels against a page. We print on paper thick enough to hide a mistake, and we never, ever use AI-generated art on the page you color.
We're a small studio. We ship slowly, on purpose. Twelve worlds are in the works. Four are out. The rest are coming when they're right.

What ages are doodloo books made for?
Our books are designed for ages 4 to 8 as a core audience — bold lines and generous spaces for little hands. But we say "ages 4 to 96" on purpose: the detailed pattern pages and character work are equally loved by teens and adults coloring for stress relief.
Where can I buy them?
All four available books are on Amazon as paperback. We publish direct, so ordering supports us properly. Barnes & Noble and TikTok Shop listings are coming this year. For wholesale or bulk orders, email us.
How many pages? Is there a spiral-bound version?
Every doodloo book is 96 pages (including the story intro and back-matter). The current editions are paperback, square-format, 8.5″ × 8.4″ — perfect for a lap or a little table. Spiral-bound editions are on our roadmap.
What paper do you print on?
Heavy bright-white stock, specifically chosen to resist bleed from markers and feel smooth under crayons. You can press hard. You can erase. It's designed to take a beating from an enthusiastic five-year-old.
Is coloring really good for stress? Or is that marketing talk?
Real. The calming effect of repetitive, low-stakes coloring is well-documented in research from Drexel, the Mayo Clinic, and the American Art Therapy Association. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system and lowers cortisol. It's why adult coloring books became a publishing phenomenon in the 2010s — and why we design every page with that rhythm in mind. Do you use AI-generated coloring pages?
Never. Every line on every page is hand-drawn by our tiny team. We use AI for things like boring admin, never for the art kids color. Every book is signed off by a real illustrator before it prints.
